Electrical Fault Finding
Electrical fault finding is a unique job for electricians, it is one of the areas where customers call for a rate as we cannot provide a free quote to diagnosis a problem. If cutting and or mending is involved, we recommend the use of a decorator as we do not decorate.
In certain cases, inspections need to be done which means we have to remove spot lights, lights and socket outlets that have not been undone or taken away in many years. In most cases, paint can be chipped and cracked around the electrical outlet. We ask that you, please, bear this in mind.
Electrical fault finding on any property, domestic or commercial, remains the customer’s responsibility. This means that you must inform us of any sockets or switches that might not be visible. For example behind doors, in or behind cupboards and so forth.
Please bear in mind that when we are trying to detect a fault, you are on the clock: if for example, we have to go and collect equipment or product, this time is included as it is your time.
If however, we have to return to continue the fault finding because it was not rectified before, we will continue from the time we left off or start a new time. Please, bear this in mind.
Fault finding and installation are not the same things, there will be a separate charge, please, bear this in mind.
If you have booked us for a job and need to cancel, we will require sufficient notice as it is more than likely that we have turned other customers a way to honour your booking. If you need to cancel a job 24 hours beforehand please call us, as we are on the road or working most of the time and will not be able to check emails at such a short notice. However, if materials were ordered for your specific task or labour, we will have to charge for such materials/labour. Failure to provide us with sufficient notice will result in a charge. During the Festive Season, we would require more cancellation notice.
If you book a job with us and wish to cancel 48 hours beforehand, you may call or email us. However, if any materials have been ordered for your job, a charge will be incurred. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in a charge. During the Festive Season, we would require more cancellation notice.
